Swedish Proteomics Society partnering with LifeGene Project.

The Swedish Proteomics Society (SPS) will actively take part in the LifeGene Project, one of the largest health projects. The responsibility will be to aid support for sample storage for future protein analysis. These activities will incorporate basic understanding of protein stability and standardisation procedure required to ensure high quality of human biofluid samples.

The 4th European Summer school “Proteomic Basics” will be held 1-7 August, 2010, like previous years, in Kloster Neustift, Brixen/Bressanone, South Tyrol, Italy. The topic will be “High-throughput data analysis and statistics”. For more information and registration please visit the organizers' website.

The first time an EMBO practical course will be immediately proceeding the MPSA meeting and will be held in Uppsala, Sweden, August 22-24, 2010. The course will address discovery and functional analysis of post-translational modifications. For more details on the EMBO practical course please see its official website.

CMP-Summer School series "Current techniques in Membrane Proteomics" will take place from 23rd to 28th of August 2010 at the University of Frankfurt, Biocenter, Campus Riedberg, Germany. The experts from the Goethe University, the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysics and the European Membrane Biology Network provide intensive training in currents methods applied in membrane protein research for small groups of 2 to 4 students. Fellowships are available for all participants. Please see the schedule and the poster of the CMP-Summer School in Frankfurt.

The deadline for registration is the 30th of July.
