Third Swedish Proteomics Society Symposium 4-5 October, 2004:
The 3:rd Swedish Proteomic Society meeting will focus on the Clinical Biomarker field as well as reviewing of the current and emerging Proteomics analysis research area.
Mass Spectrometry based protein profiling technology platforms utilising multidimensional liquid phase separation and protein chip array developments will be presented.
Biomarkers within the clinical disease area has become the centre of major research activities where the Clinical Biomarker Discovery field is developing new technologies and capabilities to profile and identify specific markers of disease. Increasingly diseases are becoming defined by their characteristics of protein expression, molecular alteration in-between diseased patient groups that render them different from normals.
Biomarkers are becoming an important step understanding disease evolvements, as well as an important component within the drug discovery and drug development process.
Time and
location:
The third SPS meeting will be held Monday, 4 October, 2004 at Scandic Hotel Star in Lund and Tuesday, 5 October, 2004 in Bella Center, Copenhagen in collaboration with Biotech Forum and Medicon Valley Academy.
