Focus Group Meetings

A group of meetings where well known sicentists gave a speech.

Focus group meetings:

Dr. Johan Gobom from the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics gave a lecture on the 14th of April, 2005 in Lund with the title: "Proteomic strategies for comparative and quantitative analysis based on stable isotope labelling and mass spectrometry". For more information about the lecture see the abstract. (Please see a pdf file below.)

Dr. Tasso Miliotis from AstraZeneca R&D Mölndal gave a presentation on the 18th of November, 2004 in Lund with the title:"Proteomics Strategies to Enhance Biomarker Discovery in Biofluids". (For abstract please see a pdf file below.)

Dr. Carol Nilsson gave a presentation on the 15th of April, 2004, describing the investigation of post-translational modifications by Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. "High Resolution Mass Spectrometry for Structural Proteomics" was the title of the presentation. For more information please see the abstract. (For abstract please see a pdf file below.)

Dr. Thomas Jørgensen gave a presentation on the 6th of November about a new very promising technique. Hydrogen deuterium exchange in combination with mass spectrometry that gives information about structure. For more information about H/D exchange contact Thomas or visit www.hxms.com.

Dr. Felix Elortza from Peter Roepstorffs group at the University of Southern Denmark made a speech on the 15th of May about modification specific proteomics: tackling membrane protein analysis.

Dr. Juri Rappsilber from Mathias Mann's group at the University of Southern Denmark gave the first presentation on the 6th of March. The lecturer gave an introduction about the possibilities of capillary liquid chromatography in combination with MS/MS for the direct analysis of complex protein mixtures.
