YPIC webinar - OCTOPUS: The new primary research record!

The 9th YPIC webinar "OCTOPUS: The new primary research record!" will
take place on the 17th September at 10 AM CEST. Join us for this
interesting introduction!

Dr Alexandra Freeman spent 17 years making science and natural history
documentaries at the BBC before taking on a role as Executive Director
of the Winton Centre for Risk & Evidence Communication at the University
of Cambridge. After seeing the scientific publishing system ‘from the
inside’ she came up with the idea for Octopus, a system designed to
change the incentive structure for the dissemination of research.

Octopus received funding and support from the UK’s governmental
science funder earlier this year and is being built in partnership with
the educational digital infrastructure provider Jisc for launch in
spring 2022. Join us if you want to know how Octopus can revolutionize
the scientific world!
